ATMI Membership
e would welcome you to join the Association for Technology in Music Instruction. To join now, simply access the online registration form and pay the low $40 membership fee using any of a number of convenient payment methods.
s a member of ATMI you will receive many benefits. First and foremost, all members receive discounted registration for the annual ATMI conference, held joinly with the meeting of the College Music Society. This annual conference constitutes the single best opportunity every year to learn about the ways in which technology is being used across the globe to teach, create, and engage music. Equally important, of course, the conference provides numerous opportunities to network with colleagues from many different regions and to discuss the many ongoing activities related to music technology.
n the ATMI web site, there are several "members only" areas that provide significant added-value to those who are current ATMI members. The various Discussion Boards offer a virtual locale to continue conversations initiated during the ATMI conference, posed on the ATMI Listserv, or at other times and locations. The discussion boards offer an at-large discussion, along with dedicated discussion boards configured specifically for members of each of the ATMI Special Interest Groups (at present, this includes: Music Lab Management, Distance Learning in Music, Multimedia Development, and CAI Theory/Aural Skills). Also located in this members-only area you will the Technology Directory - for many years, one of the primary resources for technology hardware and software. This resource (last published in 2002) is being replaced by an online Wiki where members will collaboratively building a constantly updated resource of technologies available for teaching, creating, and learing about music. In addition, we are building a repository of teaching materials and tutorials. As a member of ATMI, you can take advantage of these many resources and add to our knowledgebase by contributing your own materials to the repositiory and collaborating in the Discussion Boards and Wiki.
e look forward to counting you as one of our current members. [Join Now]
